Our mission is to deliver hope, peace, and sustainable solutions to those in need by addressing social, economic, and humanitarian challenges locally and globally.

# About us Our Sheikh – Dr. Yehia Oeda
Our respected Sheikh and Imam, Dr. Yehia Oeda, is a renowned Islamic scholar, born and raised in Jabalia, Gaza. Despite enduring war and
hardship, he pursued Islamic education with dedication. He holds an Ijazah (Islamic license) in all 10 recitations of the Qur’an and has led
Islamic prayers across New Zealand and Australia.
Sheikh Yehia’s Life Journey:
– Born in 1960 in Gaza, he witnessed multiple wars, including the Six-Day War (1967), the First and Second Intifadas (1987 & 2000), and ongoing
conficts.
– Due to the occupation and war, he and his family were displaced, living in tents and extreme conditions.
– Despite these hardships, he memorised the Qur’an, mastered Islamic jurisprudence, and became a leading scholar in Quranic recitation.
– He has since dedicated his life to teaching, leading prayers, and supporting humanitarian efforts across New Zealand, Australia, and beyond.
His story is a testament to resilience, faith, and the power of knowledge.
